Ventilation side cover systems are used primarily for dairy, beef and calf buildings to provide ventilation and stop rain ingress. These pictures show how extra light can pass through Huesker’s ventilation covers as opposed to traditional boarding.
Tensioned vertically from top to bottom, these ventilation covers are usually fitted with weather strips on three sides. The bottom of the textile cover contains a hemstitch into which a 42mm tube is inserted. Tensioning is achieved by means of ratchet and tension belt units.
Each cover is a maximum 30 metres long by 5 metres high. Multiple side covers would be used for larger side openings.
It is a feature of Lubratec textiles to see through the material into the building. This will enable anyone to view any animal behaviour which is critical for good stockmanship.
